This historically inspired American Colonial residence is reflective of our nation’s deep roots, while functional and updated for today’s family living. The homeowner fell in love with everything Colonial during residency in Fredericksburg, PA. When the family moved back to Colorado Springs, Colorado to take up roots, they purchased an outdated rancher sight-unseen. Over time they planned to build their dream home, an American Classic Colonial, but with modern conveniences — a custom home built today would offer. Bob McGrath Construction began construction on the new dream in June 2014. Everything in the home was built to most accurately reflect the era. There are fun surprises throughout the home, including hidden storage, a greenhouse, and a family-friendly mudroom. In the end, the home is a masterpiece, of both an era long gone, and the current times.
