The homeowner fell in love with everything Colonial during residency in Fredericksburg, PA. When the family moved back to Colorado to take up roots, they purchased an outdated rancher sight-unseen. Over time they planned to build their dream home, a Classic Colonial, but with modern conveniences a custom home built today would offer. BMC began construction on the new dream in June, 2014. Everything in the home was built to most accurately reflect the era. There are fun surprises throughout the home, including hidden storage, a greenhouse, and family friendly mud room. In the end the home is a masterpiece, of both an era long gone, and the current times.
When homeowners acquired 2 acres of property in the Broadmoor they wanted a custom home that reflected their love of the Craftsman and Arts and Crafts era. The result was a stunning, sprawling 8,000 square foot home. Great attention to detail was paid throughout the home with tapered columns, built in fireplaces, quaint formal living rooms, built in bookcases. Exquisite cherry wood was used for baseboards, crown molding, cabinetry, flooring and doors giving the home a deep, rich and historical essence.
